KRABIT is built to stay fair and secure for everyone. Handling disputes requires staff time, investigations, and administrative work. To cover these costs and prevent abuse of the system, a 5% dispute resolution fee applies to transactions that require staff intervention.

When the 5% Dispute Fee Applies

The 5% dispute fee is charged only when KRABIT staff must formally step in to resolve a dispute. The fee is applied under these conditions:

  • If one party is found to have acted dishonestly, made false claims, attempted fraud, or violated KRABIT rules, that party is responsible for the full 5% fee.

  • If both parties are found to have contributed equally to the dispute, the fee is split evenly at 2.5% each.

  • If funds become unrecoverable due to external issues such as chargebacks, processor decisions, or irreversible crypto transfers, KRABIT may waive or adjust the fee at its discretion.

Who Pays the 5% Dispute Fee

  • If the buyer commits fraud or files a false claim, the buyer pays the full 5%.

  • If the seller fails to deliver or misrepresents the service or item, the seller pays the full 5%.

  • If both sides contribute to the dispute, each pays 2.5%.

  • If funds cannot be recovered due to external factors, the fee may be reduced or waived.

How the Fee Is Enforced

  • The dispute fee is classified as a platform charge linked to dispute resolution.

  • If funds are still accessible through the payment processor, the fee may be deducted automatically at the time of refund or payout.

  • If automatic deduction is not possible, the responsible party must settle the fee directly with KRABIT.

  • Failure to pay a valid dispute fee may result in account restrictions, holds, or suspension until the balance is cleared.

How to Avoid Disputes and Fees

You reduce your risk of disputes by clearly defining all transaction terms upfront, accurately representing what is being sold or delivered, keeping all communication inside KRABIT, and following all marketplace rules and escrow guidelines.
